This presentation describes the issues related to building conversational applications for a social robot. Issues range from the classical speech recognition problems, including background noise and far-field microphones, to the integration with other interaction channels and modalities. Finally, we give a preview of a software development kit that will be available to general developers to build skills for a commercial robot.
