Speech-enabled virtual assistants provide businesses with a compelling solution to the challenge of managing constellations of multiple interconnected services. Mobile virtual agents enable a single point of entry for a broad range of options without overcomplicating the interface, and multimodal interaction includes presentation of visual displays that are cumbersome to convey with voice alone. This presentation explains the technical underpinnings of creating effective multimodal virtual assistants and illustrates their use with demonstrations from multiple enterprise verticals.
