Silke Witt-Ehsani manages the Design Center at TuVox, Inc. She has build up this design center over the past 5 years, which covers all areas of VUI design, speech science and audio production. She has over 12 years of research and industrial experience in the creation of leading-edge speech solutions in the call center environment. Her work has covered all areas of voice user interface design, usabilities studies, grammar development and tuning. Before joining TuVox Silke has hold positions at Edify and SRI Consulting developing advanced speech recognition applications, specializing in implementations utilizing technologies such as statistical language modeling, acoustic model adaptation, automated grammar generation from large data sets. She has published extensively in the areas of speech recognition and user interface design and been a speaker at a number of international conferences. Silke holds an undergraduate degree in telecommunications from the Technical University of Hamburg, Germany in addition to a Master of Science in Digital Signal processing from Cornell University. Following that, she also obtained an MPhil in Speech and Language Processing and a PhD in Speech Recognition from Cambridge University, England.
