Dr. Thomas Schalk is Vice President of Voice Technology for SiriusXM, North America’s digital satellite radio broadcaster and leader in providing next generation connected vehicle services. SiriusXM’s telematics and connected vehicle services are designed to enhance safety, security and the driving experience.  Schalk focuses on advanced user interfaces that enhance the driving experience while minimizing driver distraction. He holds numerous key patents in the areas of speech technology and speech applications, and is an active board member of AVIOS.
