Picture of David L ThomsonFor 33 years, David Thomson has developed and managed software and algorithm creation for speech recognition, speech synthesis, speech compression, and voice biometrics.  He has managed speech R&D for voice interface systems that have handled over 20 billion calls. He recently joined CaptionCall, a company that uses speech recognition to provide communication services for the hard of hearing.  He previously served as Vice President of Speech Research at Interactions, LLC, Speech Research Director at AT&T Labs, Lucent Speech Solutions CTO, Fonix Corp. CTO, SpeechPhone Inc. CTO, and SpinVox Inc. (now Nuance) Speech Technology SVP.  He has 11 patents and 30 published speech technology papers.
